    Of course it's an upgrade, just what version?
    Perhaps garmin scaled down their jcvs? But everything is suspect now since the original map (2011.20) is missing MExico and who knows what else too.

    BTW, if anyone has a Map membership with Garmin, this is how you can get the mapsource file and save it to device which will we need if we want Mexico and the full Mapsource application:

    If you want to save the installation data, select advanced and choose computer AND device.

    After it's done downloading, but before it's done sending it to the device, save the contents of %temp%\img folder to somewhere else on your computer

    I have lifetime membership with Garmin for North America and Canada, will that work? I am a novice, so I am not sure how to go about doing this.
