    I have a Windows Vista installed on my PC and ask myself: "where must i put the whole folder?"
    Can you describe how the install-procedure is step-by-step, after copying the folder. Is there perhaps a missing file, like install.bat or something else?

    garmin map directory
    WIN7/Vista = C:\ProgrammData\Garmin\Map
    or
    XP = C:\Dokument and Setting\All Users\ApplicationData\Garmin\Maps
    If you can’t se the path, then go to controlpanel/Folderoptions/View/Check show hidden files and folders/Apply & OK.

    OK, I Can see the map c:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps
    I put the contents from the folder "OnRoute Wandelkaart 1.12.gmap" here and start Mapsource. But I still haven't got the Onroute map in Mapsource?

    I have Mapsource V6.16.3 Special version and put the contents from the folder "OnRoute Wandelkaart 1.12.gmap" in the map c:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps....

    No, I have already installed severall maps on my PC, like Germany Topo V4, Topo BeLux, OpenFietsmap,.....
    I can't see in Mapsource in the pull-down mapselector the name Onroute Topo Nederland.

    it seems you dont have any map installed in your pc, check if you copied it in the right directories
    it should be like this one eg.
