Tnx catymag for this Mapsource version. Have any1 yet been succesful installing for Mapsource. Is it known if the "TPSVN2_ENU or your language install" also will install an update of MapSource, reason for asking I still run the good old 6.13.7 version which need maps in .img format to work. I do not want to update my Mapsource. Seen that this version has maps with the fileextension .rgn

Garmin GMAP maps can only be seen with MapSource >= v6.14.1.
To be able to use a GMAP product in MapSource v6.13.7 you must use the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
GMAP .gmp maps are enumerated at start-up by MapSource v6.15.x but .img maps need also to be in the Windows registry (with pointers to TDB, preview img, IDX etc.).

The thread title is about Mellersta & Södra Norrland (Middle & South of Norrland/"North land") IMG+MapSource. The MapSource version in post #5 is however for Norra Norrland (North Norrland/"North land") as indicated by that post itself.

@ Ballebar, tnks for yr reply...I have used the GmapTool, which is the base for the MRC, to convert all the latest AU, NA and EU Mapsource maps to 6.13.7 but no success on converting Friluftskartan Pro V2 - Mellersta och Södra Norrland IMG to Mapsource, of course also used cgpsmapper on that, but not sure why no go..and still confused as I said above about the map extension names.

I don't have my installation in front of me and I am not allowed to post links so...

Use Garmins installer to install the map. The map is now in GMAP-format at
%allusersprofile%\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
Delete all ".dem"-files in the underlying folders. (search for ".dem" in subfolders)

Run "MapReverseConverter" and then uninstall the map. You will now have a copy of the locked map in IMG-format usable in Mapsource 6.13.7.

Run "All.bat" from "Garmin Unlocker" and the map will be unlocked.

Finally a friend has come to the rescue and provided us with instructions to convert this IMG file Mapsource;

"Split img with Gmaptool, it will create install files and reg files.
Unlock with JetMouse, mapID=2059."

I found that moving the newly created folder with these maps to C/ProgramData/GARMIN/Maps gives the best result when you install. Once running in Mapsource I unlocked it and the maps worked. ;-)

Hi,

I you want to have fully functional MapSource version and to use it with older 6.15.7 program version, only correct way is as suggested by Ballebar:

1. Install MapSource version from post #5 (catymag)
2. Reverse convert with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
3. Uninstall original MapSource map version (Control panel)
4. Uninstall only MapSource program (this new version)
5. Install MapSource 6.15.7 from this post:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
6. Optionally overwrite MapSource.exe with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Now you could use fully functional map with MapSource 6.15.7, and have no further problems

i used jetmouse keygen,input fid 2058 and unit id. too create key

open the MapSource program 6.14 or better

go to Utilities - Manage Map Products - Unlock regions - Add, To enter the 25 digit code in the top box and press ok so the map is unlocked for your GPS

worked fine for me.
