    no you cant ,just one one (routable) map for the same region on your gps

    Actually you can have more maps at once, but this is a bit tricky. One map should be transparent, it will be drawn over second map but without any areas like forest, town or lake. You can make map transparent with gmaptool - tab "write" and "set transparency". Unfortunatelly it doesn't work as expected for all maps.

    You can always combine maps and then selectively switch them on/off in GPS.
