I would be fine installing via SD card if that is needed but would prefer to not need to keep the SD card in the GPS.

Which files should I download to do this the easiest way, and how would I go about doing it? Thanks very much in advance for your help.
    1. Download IMG unlocked (3 parts) and unpack with WinRar or WinZip (not 7zip)
    2. On your nuvi find Garmin folder and locate file gmapsupp.img (or gmapprom.img)
    3. Backup file (copy to PC)
    4. Rename file from downloaded rar same as original file (gmapsupp.img or gmapprom.img)
    5. Overwrite old file on device with new file

    That's all

Thanks, downloading now. Will post again if I have any problems. Is 2010.40 the newest?

Seems to be working great! Thanks! How will I know when a new update is available?
