After extensive play and exploration with nuvis, let me write a few things (Caty feel free to move it, if i'm writing in the wrong topic !) . Here it is :
First; LA (Lane assist>multiple lanes on certain junctions in the top left corner of the unit, instead of single arrow) has nothing to do with JCV (actual picture of junction) ! LA is embedded into the img , so no action is required to view . Nuvis that support LA are 13XX,14XX, 7XX,not sure, abt 2X5 series, but LA ability is written on the unit box. Now JCV on the other hand requires JCV file and supported by all mal/sing hardware newer units (except 205)and 765,775,785 in euro-us.
Newest MalSing version hardware for 1460,and 765 is 2.3 . So far i only tried dropping thai jcv files into; 765 works perfect, 1460 displays (pirated copy, pls contact esri thailand, instead of picture :S ) . tried generating sum files & moving it around unit/SD card without success..Might be something abt new 1XX0 series hardware. Also heard, that euro units refuse to display thai/malsing JCV. (but too busy to try so far, post, after i try)..
Anyway i prefer LA to JCV myself, as it is simple& useful, and marvelling the picture, instead of concentratinig on the road seems dangerous (or it's me, who can't concentrate on 2 things at once)
PS: Also it would be good to share more feedback on various hardwares, cause, the same numbered unit can have very different features, depending on hardware/version .(haven't tried china/Taiwan units, sure they differ!). But malsing/thai units differ from euro-us in displays of map , poi zooming (varies 50-80 m zoom to view, also visibility during navigation!). and JCV split screen vs. full screen.
