If you put the lane assist file in the memory card under Garmin/JCV folder, did you also have to delete the original file in the gps unit?

after a search I found:
Garmin Nuvi 855 does NOT support 3D Buildings or time zone.

As for the Lane Assist file , put this file in the Garmin/JCV directory as said

Does these steps sound right?

1) gmapsupp.img should be placed in a folder named Garmin in memory card
2) Lane Assist file should be placed in Garmin/JVC folder in gps unit, then delete the old file in gps unit
3) Forget about the 3D & Time Zone files since 855 does not support it

Thats a lot! I have been looking for this. Hopefully .30 adds the streets that were missing when i bought my Garmin, and also when I updated it.

xxx.SUM files
gmapbsupp.img and .SUM files.

what are these and if I need them, where can I get them??
