    I also tried the site and got the same message as Nincsen: "This file is either removed due to copyright claim or is deleted by the uploader" is the message I receive from Hotfile.com. "
    Addendum: I was able to find the file at the "megaupload" site. Neophite in action, I apologize for not trying all the sites before posting. Sorry!

    I downloaded file from zippyshare and unzipped to temp but cannot mount or burn .img file
    Is there something else I should be doing with this file?

    It's a file with Garmin IMG propriety format and not a disk image.

    This map is probably locked and you should either [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Just copy the map file directly to GPS unit or memory card. The path would in most cases be "[GPS or memory card]:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img".
    This type of BlueChart g2 Vision charts is only really useful in Garmin chartplotters. nüvi road navigators and Garmin Mobile XT & PC would not be much useful to show a BlueChart g2 Vision chart.

    It's not that kind of image file. Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. From there:
    Have you downloaded an IMG ?
    IMGs are garmin maps images, you can put them directly in your gps , or better in sd-
    No problem with maps in sd, if something goes wrong , you can remove the sd and delete the map using your pc-

    Thanks Guy's! I dropped the file onto a 2Gb micro SD and it worked great. Well first you have to make a directory called "Garmin" and put the .img in this folder. The map file is only 153Mb so it takes up little room. I use the same flash card in my Blackberry. I now have Topo and Blue chart on two separate SD cards. When one is in the Garmin the other is in the phone and visa versa. Way Cool!

    The chart in this thread - VCA012R v10.50 is not affected by the Garmin BlueChart recall.
    The BlueChart recall was for all BlueChart g2 and BlueChart g2 Vision with version 2009 or also known as v11.00.
