    First of all, thanks very much Marcio... That was a great job! IMG version worked perfectly in my 255WT.

    I'd like to know if this map version has radars locations. I'm currently in a city that has no radars, so I don't have a way to test it, but as I'm going to travel this week, I'd like to know in advance!!

    If it doesn't have the radars, which map do you guys think is the best to show them?

    Thanks!

    The radars (speedcam for the "gringos" ) normally are separated from the maps: For good reason: they are updated several times during the month ... so it is much easier to update them if they are as POI's ...

    I have exactly the same model of GPS (NUVI 255WT); and use the file below:

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Just download and unzip ... place the file poi.gpi in POI folder on your NUVI.
    It covers the whole of Brazil and were reviewed in this month of December.

    To check if they were installed ;disconnect the unit from the PC ... and go into the NUVI menu (portuguese menu):

    Para Onde > Extras > POIs Pessoais

    And here you can see the categories ... just to check ... For radar warnings are already working.

    Optional (only for NUVI 255WT)

    If you want you can also do an update in text files and audio ... With corrections made and that Garmin is not available yet.
    These are files that I'm currently using on my NUVI 255WT

    TEXT

    Download and unzip, and place the file Portuguese.gtt in the folder TEXT (Garmin\Text) in internal memory.
    Replacing the old files;

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Voice

    Download and unzip, and place both files Portugues_Brazilian_.vpm and Portuguese_Brazilian_Raquel.vpm in the folder Voice(Garmin\Voice) in internal memory.
    Replacing the old files;

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    So your NUVI 255W is fully updated.

    Marcio,

    Thank you once again! You're the man!
    I've updated my 255wt with all files you've sent.

    I owe you some beers! If you don't drink I'll need to think in another gift :-)))
    I was going to send you a PM but I don't have the necessary posts count to do so...

    Hi Marcio!

    I have a Garmin Nuvi 255W, may I use the text and voice files you've linked? Is the text language brazilian portuguese or european portuguese?

    Thanks!
