I've read that the offset can be corrected by using a hacked Que.exe for Garmin XT. Does anyone have a link to where the hacked file can be downloaded?

I am also interested to know. I have just returned from visiting China and found the offset is huge. It is around 600m to the south-east of the cursor position. I managed to work-around by setting my Nuvi 200 to 80m zoom then with my cursor in the top left-hand corner, the correct position on the map is at the bottom right-hand corner. Not a very elegant solution.

I have download the unlocked map and it works. But it is hard to use as the spelling of the places are not the same.
I am still trying to understand it. I am going to China in a week and I will test it out. Thanks

You can use Google Earth to mark your POIs in advance . Good luck :-))

A good idea to use google Earth to create POIs. At the moment I cannot view existing POIs in Mapsource even when zoomed right in. Any ideas? I also cannot transfer maps to GPS as Maptool does not work. Am I doing something wrong?

Just found the answer to my own questions. Had previouslydownloaded a non Mapsource file. Downloaded from the link on this thread and no problems.
