have you installed a map?
have you unlocked it?
have you installed base map?
Which phone do you have?
please if it's a symbian or a WM phone follow the above guide
3x yes! I have nokia 5800, and program works perfectly, but when i start it, and go to "view map", i can see map, streets and so on, but i can't move the map! It's position is fixed (location found by gps), and i can only zoom. But, when i go to options/browse map i can see the route, but i can also move the map to see what ever i want.
Thanks
P.S. I used this tutorial
3w.noeman.org/gsm/maps/74152-garmin-scg-adriaroute-kako-instalirati-tutorial.html
because it is in my native language
Hi is it possible to install all the core Garmin GPS software on a Tomtom XL hardware device?
I have installed different Tomtom navcore versions and types on this device but I can't seem to find a way to do that with Garmin core... I need to run some mapsource maps on that device.
This has to do with the fact there is no map for Iceland from Tomtom.

Hi, my first post on here so be gentle with me!
I thought this was the way it was supposed to work, ie VIEW MAP is the navigation view and only changes by movement once a satilite lock is achived and BROWSE MAP is the one that can be panned and scrolled without a lock My 5800 works this way and so do the other Garmin Pda's I have.

This is exactly what i wanted to ask! Is it supposed to be like that or i did something wrong?! I have standalone NavNGo GPS, and on it i can always move map! This is very usefull becasue i can see route in advance... I also asked my friend who has nokia N95 and older version of garmin, he can move map from "view map" option
Finally I could install the standalone version of Garmin XT on my N79. But when I open the Garmin XT application I have 4 choices:
1) Purchase and Go
2)Begin Free trial
3) Enter Product key
4) Connect to a garmin GPS.
This seems to not to be how it is supposed to be... - because I couldn't find any *****s, serials or keygens!
Does anyone know a solution???
Thanks in advance!
PS: Sorry for doubleposting - i realized it too late that there was a special "help" topic!
Hi bo2xs, go to the bottom option: Connect to a garmin GPS, once inside you will be able to go to settings / about where you will finde your Card ID, write it down or type it onto a text file for easy use and safe the file as Card ID.txt, that way you will be able to easily copy it into the k*ygen. If you still have not found a k*ygen, send me a message making use of the messaging system of this forum and I will email you the k*ygen. (remember to include your email address)Jennifer

Sit.rep: I have the latest Garmin XT (Symbian S60 3rd Edition_5.0.0.30) up and running on a Nokia 5800 XM with
"Garmin City Navigator® Europe NT 2009 v11" installed from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Problem: I have no voice files what so ever. don't know if I messed upp something or if an error occurred. in Garmin setup i get "no language found" on voice language.
Question: How do I fix this, where do I find voice files for that map and where do they go. Can anyone help me with this?
it feels a bit dorky to have an almost fully working GPS.
I have both the Samsung Nordics and Samsung all Europe on my pc if there's any way of copying the voice files from any of them to the existing setup.
please reply with folder tree description of where the file goes... I am not too good at all this.

Answering my own post here but that's just one of those things that happens.
I looked around and found a link to the help files for garmin xt [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], and I remembered Caty saying stuff about unplugging other external devices since garmin installs on the last device. Any way that's how to fix missing voice files. Just download the help-pack and install to unit and voila, it works.
I have nokia 5800. I first installed 5.00.40 according to a guide similar to www dot noeman dot org/gsm/navigation-softwares/86205-simple-guide-setting-up-garmin-mobile-xt-s60-wm.html. Problem is when I tried to run GarminMobileXT.sis, I couldn’t click “next” to select language to proceed. So I downloaded 5.00.50 and installed from PC, then ran GarminMobileXT.sis again. This time, it worked.
Then I was trying to get the card ID.
Start GMobileXT, click “I agree”.
Then I got the options list:
1 Purchase & Go
2 Begin Free Trial
3 Enter Product Key
4 Connect to Garmin GPS.
Nothing worked except the last one. Then I saw the main screen with "vew map" etc. So then I went to tools=> settings => About, and find the card ID. I used “k*gen_1.5″ to generate sw.unl with the card ID, and put it in memory card:\garmin\.
But then every time I start garmin, I still got the list 1,2,3,4. It seems the unlock code is not working yet.
Any help?
By the way, I'm using windows XP. I first created the sw.unl file using notepad. Later on, I tried a program called "*unl creator".
