    Default Help for Garmin Camper 1095

    Hello everyone,

    I need a help.

    I have a Garmin Camper 1095 and I'm trying to install a file with custom POIs. The installation using Garmin POI Loader completes successfully, and the POIs are loaded, but they are displayed on the map with the default flag icon instead of the custom BMP icons.

    I've already verified the following:

    The BMP file has exactly the same name as the GPX file.
    The icon size is 24×24 pixels.
    Both files are located in the same folder.
    POI Loader completes the installation without any errors.

    My question is:
    Does the Garmin Camper 1095 support displaying custom BMP icons for Custom POIs, or does this model only use the default flag icon?If anyone has successfully managed to display custom BMP icons on a Garmin Camper 1095 I would really appreciate it if you could share how you did it.

    Going by the result of your custom POI experiment which seems to have been properly undertaken, probably the answer is very likely no, that Camper/RV series doesn't support custom BMPs and so ignores them.

    A word of caution about using any 'non-standard' files in modern Garmin devices. If soft-bricked by a corrupt or incompatible file, it might be very difficult or even impossible to effectively recover the device using conventional cure methods.
