    Default Garmin 255w forcing calibration?

I got a garmin 255w for $5. Charged it up and the TS only works on one side. Is there a way to force calibration? All touches register only on the right side.

I have gotten into reset mode and can't reset and also tried reseating the LCD cable.

It almost certainly has nothing to do with calibration.
    Replace screen.

You can get used 255W GPS units that are working from here.

Getting a 255W for 5 dollars should of told you something.

Also check other outlets for good used working Garmin Units at a good price.

The chances you finding a replacement screen with be a dead end.

I bought my 1300 for $5 and its my main GPS for 2 years now. All garmin has is live traffic. Otherwise I'd be using IGO because of "avoid street" and re-routing functionality. My chinese android/wince uinits didn't last though.

I tried the methods in the video already and hoped there was a programmatic way to enter it. Like edit a file or something. Touches work all over the screen they just return the wrong coordinates.
