To be clear, what the OP's asking for if fully addressed would clearly breach Garmin's EULA and therefore the newest forum rules. What happens to this thread is immaterial to me because regardless that i can help i simply won't as reasoned in my previous post. It's solely a staff decision what happens with this thread or it's individual posts of course and i'm not trying to influence that, simply raise a red flag in a helpful way ....![]()
I would not like fully addressedthat spoils the fun, just a pointer in the good direction, played around in the past with maps.. But I can't seem to find a solution to get my maps 2014 to work on a 7600 series gpsmap with recent fw.
If the GPS is old enough, it won�t look for the gma file, and it won�t have to even be present on the card if the map data is unlocked.
If the GPS unit is new enough to care about gma protection, the firmware needs to be patched so that it no longer checks (then you still don�t need a gma file).
