Well I've done even more reading and another suggestion was to make a Garmin folder on a SD card. I had a spare 2gb SD card, so made the folder and put the file within and slipped it in the unit. Bingo, now working with Australia mapsThanks for such a helpful site.

EDIT: Thanks Neil, looks like we posted at the same time. I might try moving it to the folders on the unit just to keep it simple. Thanks again.
