If you have installed the map in Basecamp, you can send parts of it to your etrex by Mapinstall.

Hi All, I quite new to using this GPS unit. I already have my own copy of Memory Map for the whole of GB installed on my PC, and I wondered if it was possible to install some of this Memory Map for my local area on my Etrex30.

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
I don't think you can use a memory map in Basecamp.
You have to make a custom map from the memory map I guess. At the moment I don't know the format of a memory map.
Maybe you have to make a print, calibrate the map and then use Google Earth to make a Garmin custom map for use on your Etrex.
Maybe it's possible to use Global Mapper, or OKMap or Mobile Atlas to make directly a custom map from a memory map?.
Thank you both, I will google the programs that you mentioned and see if I can work it out. And will let you know how I get on.
Memory Map uses the same Ordnance Survey Landranger 1:50.000 and 1:25.000 maps as Garmin does for their GB Discoverer maps.
The 50k maps are covering the entire country whereas the 25k maps are only available for National Parks and Trails.
Creating custom maps for Garmin is limited to a very small area, not very usefull.
If I were you I would download the Garmin 50k Discoverer maps and use them on your eTrex.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
