Thread: Memory Map and Garmin Etrex30

I don't think you can use a memory map in Basecamp.
You have to make a custom map from the memory map I guess. At the moment I don't know the format of a memory map.
Maybe you have to make a print, calibrate the map and then use Google Earth to make a Garmin custom map for use on your Etrex.
Maybe it's possible to use Global Mapper, or OKMap or Mobile Atlas to make directly a custom map from a memory map?.

Thank you both, I will google the programs that you mentioned and see if I can work it out. And will let you know how I get on.

Memory Map uses the same Ordnance Survey Landranger 1:50.000 and 1:25.000 maps as Garmin does for their GB Discoverer maps.
The 50k maps are covering the entire country whereas the 25k maps are only available for National Parks and Trails.

Creating custom maps for Garmin is limited to a very small area, not very usefull.

If I were you I would download the Garmin 50k Discoverer maps and use them on your eTrex.
