Garmin Gpsmap 527 Marine chartplotter locked

Hi

I have bought the new Garmin gpsmap 527 chartplotter. And now all my charts are not working on this device. I still have a old garmin 620, and all charts are working fine on this.

Anybody have a solution on what is wrong?

Are your maps unlocked for the 620? How? Do you have .unl or/and .gma in sd made for 620?
Give more info.

My bluecharts are open for the 620, but i have just downloaded the Unlocked charts. I havent opened them my self. All my chart are "gmapsupp.img" files.

Maybe garmin made som extra protection on this device.?

Try to unlock again those gmapsupp.img with gimgunlock v.0.03+MapSigPatch
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
May be charts haven't been unlocked correctly for newer devices.
Drag&drop the .img in gimgunlock.exe, copy in SD/Garmin, one per SD, remove any other files from SD/Garmin.

Which firmware does 527 run?
It can be the latest firmware 4.00 got extra protection, but I doubt because it's not a new device.

Its running software version 3.70.

It didnt work with the gimgunlock.

Maybe i should try and download a locked version of the chart. And unlock it my self with gimgunlock, The version im using is already unlocked by somebody else.

Could it be my micro sd card that is bad quality? Im using a Kingston 4 gb class 4.

Problem solved. It seems to be my kingston sd cards thats not working on my 527. I have tried three different kingston cards, and none are working.

I just copied the file on to a Sandisk instead, and now its working great.
