Thread: Map authentication process Garmin Montana 600 series

I Think You have to run [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] on Map.
I've heard nothing about new protection in latest Montana 650 software version 6.20.
Only NTU Maps are Unpatchabled, as i know.

The new protection was added to firmware 5.60. This made many problems, including locking legitimate maps. This firmware was, however, withdrawn from download. whether or not newer firmware have any protecion I don't know. Change logs for firmware doesn't says anything about protection, but would be nice if someone with the Montana have any experince using latest topo maps in this unit.The maps I am planning to use is generally Topo maps
