No it doesn't show as 'locked' because it's now unlocked by gingunlock. Taking the example of jimmy's in Post #2, the gmaptool log will then show as "priority 30, parameters 1 3 17 3, transparent" instead of "priority 30, parameters 1 3 17 3, locked, transparent" for the locked 3D map example above. The absence of 'locked' means it's unlocked. Detail map images are treated exactly the same way.

BTW, your 3590 is a 2012 not a 2014 model. Only some 2014 models are affected as advised by catymag, but all except NT Unicode maps can be unlocked with new gimunlock. NT [non-Unicode] such as NA are no problem to unlock and authenticate.
