Both, Mapsource and BaseCamp support locked maps. I haven't tried recent BaseCamp in wine, I think the easiest way to get it under wine is to copy whole installed program directory form Windows, but I don't know if there is proper support for .NET in wine.

I have gmapsup.img on my Device and i splitted it in *.img to install CityNavigator in MapSource. MapSource show me only a white square (i tried modifing zoom level and details but... nothing) and tell me that the map is blocked. I have the code to unblock it but i cannot do it in Linux. I was told that BaseCamp can solve this issue.
