Ha ha! Ok, clear now your problem. US/EU/AU 55 and SAm 55TV are completely different units of course. Comedy of errors, your original post says you have a nuvi 55 and you quoted $90 to add LM 'for your region', Brasil i guess, which co-incidentally is the same cost to add LM onto an NA unit so you'd understand the confusion.
Then again, maybe i'm the one on Planet-X [Nibiru].

I have compared the specs and it seems that the only difference is the DTV in SAm55TV... All other specs are the same. Size, functions, specs, etc.
