In AU and US Garmin only pack refurbs in a generic blue and white box and retailers are legally required to disclose that the device is 'Factory Refurbished' or 'Refurbished as-new' or similar but cannot pass them off as new. I guess it's the same in EU mostly, so a refurb 1340T should be easy to pick regardless of whether it's packed with OEM GTM26 or GTM35/36. Here, early 1xxxT had the later model GTM25 in the box.

Sure, numerous examples of that on eBay.com and eBay.com.au also. But the blue and white box is a sure sign of a 'refurb'.
