Non-vol [NV] is the unit's non-volatile memory which is retained even if the unit isn't powered, as opposed to volatile memory which is lost w/o power. It's a more comprehensive hard reset if you like and similarly clears all user data and resets the device to factory settings. In 2460 and related devices: Press 'Speed' on the map page>Press and hold the Speedometer>Developer Info>Nonvol Statistics>Menu Bars in top LH corner>Clear Nonvol.Originally Posted by icecoach2020
