With a lot of reading and the search feature I have figured out how to work with the maps. Thank you.
I am on the water a lot and looking at the garmin maps i frequent 3 different zones and enter a 4th a few times a year.
Is it possible to have multiple maps on one card?
I appreciate all the help.

Bluecharts are sold one per sd and work in plotter one per sd in a Garmin folder, more than one BC per sd wont show.

I suggest to buy cheap 4 gb sd cards, copy BCs and swap them when needed

I have a couple of BC files on my Micro SD for my HandHeld, and I just use a USB reader to plug into my PC and change the name of the chart I want to actually use to GMAPSUPP.IMG and the unit will read it, the one I am NOT using, I change the file name to the chart name so I know what it is, ie: Cheaspeake Bay, or SE Florida.
So you will only have to have one card but you can store multiple charts on it.

Another question off topic.
When looking at downloading a locked map I see they are coming in 2 or 3 different parts.
I have only converted single .img files.
How do I convert all 3 files into one? Or do I have 3 image files on one card?
