I'm taking my Nuvi to the US this summer. I have done the US with my previous Garmin, but it took at least 15 minutes to decide we weren't in London anymore. On that occasion it didn't matter, as I was sat outside our hotel in Washington DC waiting for it to recalibrate it's location. On this occasion, we are flying into Las Vegas and collecting a car at the airport.

I know there may be no way to speed up the time it takes to recalibrate, but I was wondering if there is any way to tell it where it is to speed up the process? I will probably shove one of the kids outside with it to bake in the hot sun whilst we check in, but it would be good if anyone has any tips here.
