If you've managed to update your maps then I guess that you have solved the problem.
Next time just do the same thing again.
You can move the maps to the SD card if you like to free up space on the Nuvi. Create folder called /Map on SD and move Gmapprom.img to this folder
You can also move the junction view file to the SD Card, Create folders /Garmin/JCV and move your XXXXXX.JCV file to this folder.

Remember to always back up your Nuvi before doing anything (Just in Case)

just like i said i updated 2 garmin
1) with free space ->it works
2) the second nuvi without free space -> error

the only way to update the second nuvi is to delete files to make room and re-update

in short , the second nuvi is brand new (i did not delete files) , with firmare update , and i can't update without an error ,even there is a sd inside

i would like to know if the sd should be empty to let garmin map updater use the sd , or works with some files inside (because i added some poi in the sd)
