Hello lolypop000. The manual doesn't specify which model it is, I did go into the information menus of the unit and these are all the apparent versions I could find:

    Software Version: 4.10
    -----
WW AutoRoute OEM BaseMap NR 2.00
    -----
    Honda 2.00
    Text 2.00 (Spanish)
    Audio 2.30 (Spanish)
    -----

Not sure that helps. I found ths picture of the unit in the Honda site, if you want to see how it looks like: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Thank you

I'd have some fun and record your own voice (or better still, Eva Longoria, Sofia Vergara, Selma Hayek..... if you can kidnap one of them, that is).

I can't find any other South American or Mexican Spanish non-TTS voices anywhere, sorry. Doesn't mean there aren't any, though.

Good question. How do you update the fw on that thing Diego? Do you have to dl new fw updates onto your oem sd?
Hello Neil, Thanks for your observations.... I'll see if I can get Eva Longoria to cooperate ;-)

I don't know how I would update the fw either; maybe through a DVD? I guess I may be stuck with that FW version, as it doesn't seem to be a known device :/

Thank you for being so helpful, and dedicating time to this. I zipped the Voice folder and attached it to this post. Hopefully you'll be able to see why they don't work; It'd be really cool if somehow the street names could be spoken.

    Thanks again :D

I tried the Spanish Voice on a Nuvi 1300 and it works.

"Siga 800 metros e gida la esquerda"

    It's quite scratchy though.
What this proves is that a nuvi is compatible to these non-tts voices.
All things being equal you should be able to use "standard Nuvi Non-TTS Voices"

Try this one just to see if it works.

I look in Kenwood voice folder and there is no TTS voice,so i think that also on honda is not supported, but you can try with this:

Hello Dasilvarsa. The voice you attached did work in my unit!! :D What type is it? The only thing is that it seems to be Portuguese and Not Latin AMerican Spanish / Mexican Spanish. Do you know where I can get one in such language? Or how I can tell if a voice will work in my unit?

    Thank you :D

Hello lolypop000. The voice didn't work :/ I noticed that an earlier voice that I had gotten from here, called "Español Américas - Ana" makes some noises when it should speak (whereas the others that don't work don't make any sound). I'm attaching a picture of the screen which shows the TTS voices being labeled as being able to announce street names.

    Thank you!!

That is a standard non-tts non-VCT (does not speak street names) from a nuvi 1300 it is Catalonian from Andorra.
    Unfortunately I don't have any Spanish non-tts non-VCT voices.
I checked on My Dashboard and there is nothing there either.

Maybe you can try to search for some Spanish Forums
