Garmin uses at times more than 1 lcd and or digitizer for the SAME product......they are NOT compatible with each other....

I repair lcd and touch screens all the time

My best advice to you ( or others ) is to remove the screen from your unit and compare it to the one you are going to purchase

Even the connectors on the motherboards are different on the same models ( and I don't mean 3790T or 3790LM......I mean the SAME model )

I have not had any experience with 3790 screen yet so I cannot verify if there is more than 1 screen and digitizer used.....take it out first and check first to be safe.....

All good advice generally and totally correct. Same 'model' but screens and even pcb can be different. I have an open 260 before me at the moment with a screen i've never seen before and with totally different connections to the mo.

As far as i know though, 37xx range all have the same. The difference in price doesn't mean a different product and the 3 examples in post #1 (even with $20 price variation from same supplier), and in the ebay link from Caty's post, are probably exactly the same product. The images appear identical, but the only way to be sure is to do as Caty said and check with Garmin, or do as TC111 said, take it out and check it first against what you are buying.
