Pois should be updated with Map update, but we all know, it needs around two years to have updated data.

This is more of a question than a request...when you update maps do the POIs get updated too? I have a few year old Garmin Nuvi 255W and even though I have updated the maps several times (I am currently using the map City Navigator North America 2013.20) it does not seem that the POIs are any different from what they were when I first got it. For example, there are some relatively new restaurants that were put in about 2 years ago that still don't show up even on the most recent map. Is there a way to update all of the POIs to what might be included in a newer Garmin?

You have to navigate to get to the good.

Besides official (Garmin) POIs, there are groups that create and update POIs in the country.
In Brasil there are, at least, three groups that keep POIs for radar and highway police updated in a monthly basis, such as this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Probably other countries, like US, have that too.

If as Carlos thinks, you are also looking for speed/redlight cams, as well as the Cyclops ones from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], the SCDB ones from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] are worldwide and reportedly are ok in US. Kentucky speedy cops spend most of their time in KFC anyway though, so maybe just use their stores as pois.![]()
