I state that I am not sure to have understood your question (because of my bad english) and I've only done two test runs

1) made, and the result is positive, you can choose just the final destination, or one of the launch route waypoint. In any case, he takes you to the ultimate goal
2) See in map-navigation is up to the chosen waypoint, map in cartography see all the way with flags for each waypoint
