I'm basically looking for a nod of approval here. I've exhausted myself reading all the forums I could before posting. Here's what I need and have done..... Downloaded myself the lake of the woods/rainy lake G2 Visions map from TPB and put the zip file in a folder marked garmin on my sd card and renamed it GMAPSUPP.IMG. I then placed Fast IMG unlocker in same file and got it to do it's magic. I have also used the jetmouse key gen with the 421s unit id and the mapid of 487,1,1,52 and generated a code. I placed the generated code on the first line of notepad and saved file as all types GMAPSUPP.UNL. I then also placed the unl file with the img file in a folder marked Garmin on my sd. Is this all I have to do to use this map on my GPS 421s fish finder? Will having the .unl file in the folder make it not work since I used the unlocker? Sure hope I got it right, It's a long drive to my boat just to see if I got it right or not. Made for a disappointing weekend last time, lol.
Cheers to everyone for what I've read so far!
Crossing my fingers I don't loose the bottom end of my boat!

Thanks catymag. I put the file into GMap tool and the list of maps and stuff come up. how do I know if it's been unlocked? I Miss typed the file name garmin with caps, oops. It is and was Garmin. The map itself is a zip file is it not? I cannot unzip it just throws an error about reading script.
Map is .img format (gmapsupp.img) not .zip
Drag and drop the .img in Gmaptool and click Details,
in log you can see if it's locked
