Thread: Dead SD Port?

I have a garmin nuvi 1300 model that no longer detects my sd card (previously worked). The 'Data Card Test Page' in the 'secret' menu shows a 'No Card' status on all fields for every sd card i use.

I've tested with different cards but it can not detect any. All sd cards work fine in other devices ie. computer, phone. Does this mean that the SD port on my gps is dead?

I was recognize the same problem at my tablet Acer Iconia - Permanently no SD card detected, otherwise on another devices the card was work properly. Open the navi box and check if the terminals are in perfect condition and if all wires have perfect contact with card. In my case was partially deformed two contact wires and did not in contact with card surface terminal.
