Asr is also part of the mapping. Do the Australia NZ mapping support asr?
Hi all,
I've purchased a 3590 from Germany and the voice command worked great when it was used in Germany (in German of course).
Now that I'm back in Australia, I've loaded Australia NZ 2013.10 maps with the ASR files, etc... however, when I try to use voice command, and try to say 'Find Address' or 'Find Place' or 'Find Junction', it tells me that "This feature is not available for Australia in British English".
I've tried various things like factory reset and changing to various locales but still does not work. Is it because of firmware? I've been pulling me hair out trying to figure out a way to get it to work.
Hope someone out there can help!

Sorry I should've mentioned that I have run WebUpdater and downloaded all the ASR Data, which Australian was listed, and the TTS voices but still doesn't seem to work.
It was running FW 6.20 but had since been upgraded to 6.30, then to 6.50 when it became available.
I was reading somewhere where it may be because of the map name not displaying 'ALL' at the end of it, so I found an img file that did display the 'ALL' at the end of it but still doesn't seem to work.
Even tried loadig the mapset via MapInstall, but no go.

Do you have the ASR files for nüvi 3590 and also for the correct release (Sensis vs. Navteq)?
Having same issue here with a 3790 converted to 3490. Problem only affects Find commands. eg Find City, Find Place and Find Intersection.
Results in a message advising feature not available in Australia with American English.
No new voices downloads available via webupdater.
ASR and SRX files are correct as per table.
Is their an English_Australian .SRD file specific to the 34/35xx??

hmm, I'll have to check the filenames later (am at work right now) but I did download the ASR files from the "CN Aus & NZ NT 2013.10 - Sensis" link above and there were only 2 files for ASR which I copied to X:\.System\ASR folder.
From the table you provided above, does that mean that there are other files (ASR2) required for "Find Place" & "Find Address" to work?
Did you install the Sensis maps or the Navtech?
In Australia the 34/35xx come with Navtech installed not Sensis. The 37xx have Sensis installed not Navtech.
The Voice command files differ for each map.

No, Garmin have swapped map suppliers in Oz for the new series GPS. 34xx and 35xx are all standard with Navtech map (same one as the truckies map but you won't see any extras due to firmware differences in Truck model). The Navteq maps from what I could tell was for truckers
