It always freezes, not only in some test we made. Here a pm I received:

"The maps are very sophisticated and very big, requiring a lot of memory. 3D buildings, several historical maps and locations are in normal layer of maps. And the results are that very often I am stuck in an intersection with my Garmin ON seeing just a nice white arrow and no maps. And believe me is very frustrating.
For this reason I do not use ROAD 2012, only Europe 2013 NT."
