This thread is now moved to the discussion section since it's not a new map posted in post #1.
You can use JetMouse KG for all maps in Garmin Mobile XT since GMXT doesn't use GMA restrictions for maps with FID/MapID >= 2200. Another way is to remove locks from map data with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
If you choose JetMouse KG:
- Use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and check that you also have the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to avoid GMA problems with MapSource.
- Generate necessary unlock keys with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Be sure to use the correct CID (Card ID) as input in JM KG as well as the FID & PID values.
- Use "Utilities" -> "Manage Map Products... Ctrl+U" and select second tab "Unlock Regions". Then press the "Add..." button an add the unlock code. Repeat the add procedure for all maps that you would use in MapSource.
- Now in MapSource you use the map tool to pick map tiles from the areas you need in Garmin Mobile XT. Choose the maps and then the tiles for the maps. Check the expected size for the map set and avoid to go over 2 GiB for Garmin Mobile XT usage.
- Connect the phone with Garmin Mobile XT or the memory card with it's installation to your PC. Now you can build the map set with MapSource and transfer the resulting "gmapsupp.img" to your Garmin Mobile XT. If you choose to build a map set with 3 maps like SCG, AdriaROUTE & CNEUNT then you will have their 3 unlock codes embedded into the "gmapsupp.img" file. No extra UNL-file is required.
- If you need more than 2 GiB you have to build separate map sets ("gmapprom.img", "gmapsupp.img", "gmapsup2.img"). As long as there's enough room on the memory card then you might have 3 files there with 2 GiB each. Just remember that MapSource always creates "gmapsupp.img" and overwrites existing file at destination. In that case just build "gmapsupp.img" and rename to "gmapprom.img", build a new "gmapsupp.img" and rename to "gmapsup2.img" then you have the last build left for "gmapsupp.img".
Also try to give the map sets some meaningful names in MapSource.
