Using any US/EU Nuvi in Asia usually results in a less than perfect experience. The Asian JCVs for instance are different to US/EU/AU type jcvs and even are sometimes differently encrypted to each other. No original US/EU unit will read any Asian JCV without a crash/reboot error. SG/MY fw seems the most versatile at reading other type of jcv files including CH. But i don't think most CH unit fws will read SG/MY. Your only answer may be to try a risky cross-flash with Asian fw, worst possible scenario is a bricked nuvi resulting from that.
