Thread: Nuvi 2455T Missing Map Folder

I just purchased a new Nuvi 2455T and then exchanged it because I thought I had a problem but I seem to have the same issue on the exchanged new one.

I followed the directions to unhide and show system files but I do not see a .system folder or any folder where the maps are. After software update, it shows 534 MB free of 3.60 GB but I only see the folders Audible, Dashboards,...Vehicle, Voice, and the file D331803 [they take up 146MB]. WHERE ARE MY MAPS HIDING even though everything is unhidden????

So I cannot backup the maps (.img files, i presume) nor can I install new ones!

Does this have something to do with the fact I have an LT version and not LMT?

Go to hiden menu over trip computer and in developers menu set to mass storage.
When you connect nuvi to PC you will see .System folder.

Can you elaborate on this "hidden menu over trip computer..." how do you get to it? and change it?

In addition to "show hidden files and folders, UNCHECK the box "Hide protecting operating system files".

LT or LMT has nothing to do with the folder being hidden
