Thread: How to extract log files?

Hi there
I am using Nuvi 1410. Is it possible to load the tracks from it to the MapSource?
If yes, how?

If the firmware of your device supports the .GPX format for track records in the 'Select Data to Log / Engineering Mode: Logging Control' then this track may be loaded in MapSource without any conversion.
If the device supports only .BIN format for recording a track then this gps.bin file must be converted to .GPX format using the current version of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and then it may be uploaded into MapSource.

P.S. Files with the real tracks are stored in a hidden directory .System/Logs/...

Thank you for your promt response.
I managed to copy the "current.GPX" file from my Nuvi 1410 but the Mapsource (latest version) seems to not to recognize it.
More help would be very welcome.

Once again I draw your attention to that record of real tracks (without Road Lock) is started in the hidden menu: Trip computer window. Keep your finger about 5 seconds in the middle of the speedometer. Then choose: Diagnostic Logging -> Start Recording ...
Attention! Remember that files with the real tracks are stored in a hidden directory .System/Logs/...
