    Perhaps since you are familiar with the paper maps, go to their web and look at the video presentation and samples. Their topo appears more detailed than USGS 1:100k, closer to 1:25k. The GPS tells you the arroyos you might be in and trails or canyons out....paper doesn't quite do that for you without cross referencing coordinates from a GPS....so that is no comparison. Also E32 has businesses, tiendas, gas stations, etc...I use this with a backup of the National Geographic baja N & S paper maps. E32 is much more detailed than Natl Geographic.
    If you are offroad in baja at least, paper maps don't have the detail or you have a pile of paper. Many different trails often lead out, so GPS is the easiest way to go. Otherwise you are going back and forth coordinates to paper.

    BICI has good topos, and I believe they autoroute. Not as good as Garmin in the big cities...

    Depends on your use. What's yours, and what is important for your use?
