Do you know which files are 'critical' to stay on the device?.
I'd very much like to completely purge anything on there and put it back to factory defaults but I'm not sure what can be deleted !

Search for files with extension *.img in folder:
on Nuvi - .System and Map,
on SD - Garmin and Map.

Single copy of gmaptz.img and gmapbmap.img is system files. All others *.img files is optional maps and you may have a conflict, for example the same maps of other version or overlapped maps!
