Nuvi 3790 lost bluetooth and voice command

I already contact them and they told me to sent back to USA, but from Argentina that's not posible. Also I went to the place where I bought and they don't want to execute the guarantee.

So till now I'm lost.

hmmm, last chance, try:
correct your device.xlm to unit 3790 and older sw version, delete any GUPDATE.GCD from the unit ,put the new GUPDATE.GCD in the sd and restart it.
I had a problem with a corrupt device.xlm by an asian sw and it worked running the update from the sd in a Garmin folder.
Running it from .System, it never corrected the corrupt device.xlm

ok, so:

1-edit garmindevice.xml from nuvi37xx and 430 to nuvi3790 and 390 version. only thats fields?
2-run webupdate
3-cut and paste GUPDATE.GCD, just download by webupdate, from .system to a SD card? in the root of sd card? or in some folder? which one?
4-unplug it from usb and turn on.

thats correct?

Hi caty,
Your case is interesting. Which Asian firmware did you try and got this problem?
My 3790US is fine now. (I flashed to Asian firmware so many times, I faced all conditions:: rebooting - System Software Missing when I flashed with other boot.bin)

it wasnt my 3790, but a 1200 with chinese sw,

webupdater coundnt find my device naturally, i had to correct it at every updates, till i flashed it again from the sd . From internal memory it didnt correct it-
I got this info on Garniak, link above page 12/13

copy it in a Garmin folder in sd. (use a card reader)
attach usb your unit and correct these fields in your device.xlm to 3790 and 410

safely unplug it from pc, insert your sd with the new fw and restart it,
let it update the fw, dont touch it till it hasnt finished.

ok I finish download the file nuvi37xx_GCDFile__430.gcd

I'll copy it to sd card into a Garmin folder. I should change the name to GUPDATE.GCD???

If you want to update firmware by SD Card so you can put gupdate.gcd in SD Card\Garmin\gupdate.gcd

WebUpdater (gupdate.gcd way...) won't help. Of course you can try. Who knows. Other parts of the nuvi system should be re installed. Contact me via PM...i know some tricks...
