Thanks, catymag. Yes, I can upload a gpx file from the 62s via USB, and then open that gpx file in Basecamp. I can also set Basecamp to *show* coordinates and elevations in my desired format, say UTM, NAD27, and feet. However, if I then have Basecamp export this to a CSV file, the coordinates are in lat/long format! Do you know a solution to this? I want UTM coordinates in Excel, hence in the CSV file.
I am still absorbing your info above and will perhaps need to ask more. In the meantime, however, I am still puzzled at how I can get a complete list of my waypoints without having to upload and then open every GPX file, and then manually consolidate the data. Surely there is a better way! With older units, like the GPSMap 76CSx, I could upload all in one action.
