the favorites waypoints appear as black dots indeed.
In mapsource I choose a symbol that is also present on the device so it should appear with the same symbol.
Plus, if I tap on the waypoint on the map and go to the screen with waypoint information there I see the symbol.

corina,same here on my nuvi1410 only showing a dot..i tried to download the latest firmware from Garmin site,but the same only dot..
