The 2Gb size limit was removed a little over a year ago. I forget which firmware but it's something like 3.71 or close to that. All firmware after this will use map files up to 4G so build away up to that size. unfortunately, the 2025 map region limit still exists but this will not affect many people especially those who use the navigator NT software because their regions cover massive areas. The only thing it really does affect are topo maps which is still divided into zillions of tiny regions. I've got map files just over 3.5 Gigs that includes all of city navigator north america, plus water coverage inland and much of the entire west coast, plus topo data so i'm not sure how much more a person could need in 1 map file. Anyways, i just wanted to say the 2G limit is a thing of the past. If yours still has a limit, update the unit's firmware and it'll be gone.

My dilema is i'm not sure i want to get the 62 in case it sucks compared to the SiRF powered 60csx i have now. The later/newer 60csx's are built with a different receiver chipset, but the SiRF chipped 60's are what made that unit's reputation. So far, i've been looking for reviews from people who actually own both units and can make direct comparisons. At the current clearance price of $200, the 60csx is a killer deal. I paid more than twice that much and would buy it again today at full price if i needed to.
