Thank you for your response. Unfortunatelly I have very limited internet access so I cannot read the links you have provided in detail. However as far as I understood the first link describes the way you can extract maps with map source. g2 maps though only include a single map of a particular area and not a map set , so I still do not understand how someone could copy a g2 map into a 256 or 512mb garmin card. I will check again the links as soon as I will be able to do so.
