This process worked perfectly for me. I have updated several 2720s and they are all now running current maps.

The procedure work for me on my WinXP computer. Now I have a Win 7 64 bit computer and I can not get the .bat file to work. I have changed the path to what I think is the correct path "program files (x86)".
C:\Program Files(x86)\Garmin\WebUpdater\WebUpdater.exe /upload_file rgn=49 path=C:\Program Files(x86)\Garmin\gmapprom.img -autorun usb /i
