Now, does anybody know the FID code for the FREE Navteq traffic (ads supported) because I want to remove it (FID,0,0,0).

I think it's just the GTM25 packaged with nuvi 1490LMT (pre-programmed with lifetime Navteq?).

There are differences between the GTM25 and 26, but that does not make hardly any difference in signal reception and use of the Traffic in most countries. From my observations, the GTM26 has greater skill in handling signatures with ecc (extended country code). For example, the Japanese firmware of the Nuvis 13xx/14xx support the GTM25, but are not compatible with the GTM26, perhaps because it does not handle properly the ecc. Another detail that denotes technical differences appear in the Diagnostic / GTM Status: GTM26 have the connection type 4G and GTM25 type 3G, which can be confirmed too in the Inventory of the GPS, but they are technical details that may be better explained by electronic specialists ..

**The Nuvi 1490T, LT and LMT are also packed with GTM26. Everything indicates that this should probably replace the GTM25.

The first thing you should check is whether the Thai Traffic receptors are different from Americans, as some Asian countries use cellular signal and others. The Nuvis Americans use FM radio signal (perhaps not in the case of 16xx), in most cases. There is a real possibility of the local traffic system is not compatible with the GTMxx and firmware Americans.

Bito_MX, sorry to intrude, but I checked in the file trafficprovider.xml (13/14xx fw 5.40) that Mexico does not have Garmin's traffic service, because is not listed with the provider's name, Ltn code, SID.. For example, Navteq can have traffic service operating in several places, because she sells this service to many private and state companies, and one of these customers can be a Garmin. Thus, even Navteq offering free traffic Internet service, does not mean that there is a Traffic Garmin system operating in your city or your country. First of all, inform yourself directly with Garmin to see if there is service in Mexico and in which cities. As you said, there is a service of TTN for Mio devices, there is a possibility, somewhat remote, of using the service on the Garmin devices, since the map used by Mio is produced by Navteq and it has the information contained in map produced for Garmin (img vector) and the protocol of the traffic receiver be the same for both. With these conditions you could enter configuration changes in trafficprovider.xml and deduct parameters FID, PID and insert them along with the SID and RgnID in the key generator. In short, it would be a very difficult and almost certainly result null.

Thank you for the clarification and for your help; I thought that is just a matter of knowing the correct FID, PID, SID and RgnID parameters and then generate the keys.

Garmin told me that they doesn't offer the service here, a shame because I love his devices.

    Regards!

Wondering for some that had problems if there isn't a sequence you have to follow.
Just installed lifetime subscription on Nuvi 660 with no problems.
    Here's how I installed

Generated - USA, Total Traffic Network (US, CAN): 28992, 0, 0, 1 and entered generated code
POWER OFF THE UNIT & restarted the unit, so it starts fully in PRE BOOT MODE
Generated - Canada, Total Traffic Network (US, CAN): 31808, 0, 0, 1 and entered generated code
POWER OFF THE UNIT & restarted the unit, so it starts fully in PRE BOOT MODE
    SHOWS
    TTN (US,CAN): Lifetime Suscription

Generated - USA, NAVTEQ (US, CAN): 28935, 0, 0, 1 and entered generated code
POWER OFF THE UNIT & restarted the unit, so it starts fully in PRE BOOT MODE
Generated - Canada, NAVTEQ (US, CAN): 31751, 0, 0, 1 and entered generated code
POWER OFF THE UNIT & restarted the unit, so it starts fully in PRE BOOT MODE
    SHOWS BOTH
    TTN (US,CAN): Lifetime Suscription
    NAVTEQ (US,CAN): Lifetime Suscription

Been using GPS for couple months now and it seems to work good

How could I deduct the FID, PID, SID and RgnID parameters from this table?

Replying to #326, the FM table for Mexico as I had already posted in #282 is:

    "unamed provider"
    881, 11, 15, 0, 7
    947, 3, 15, 0, 11
    937, 10, 15, 0, 128
    "($)" provider
    953, 6, 15, 36, 11
    1065, 6, 15, 36, 11
    993, 6, 15, 36, 11

One supplier is TTN the other is Navteq.
