Nuvi Pre-boot Mode 2669

any suggestion how to enter in to pre-boot mode, mass storage is enabled, try upper left corner, but no luck

Modern devices are tricky to get into preboot. I think 2669 is hold top LH corner but it might be over or on top of the 'G' of Garmin instead, like this for 37x0/34x0/3xx7:

What are you trying to flash anyway? It's much easier to use txt commands on a microSD card for modern devices provided they aren't bricked. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

i only have central region, need full Europe, i need to patch firmware with Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Devices, but can't enter in to pre-boot mode, when i turn on Garmin and press on top of the 'G' it starts to blink system, then i connect to the PC, but no lucky

"System" dancing on screen indicates it IS in preboot but it will only stay in that for a couple of seconds unless a flash is initiated. Once a flash starts properly it'll be fine. To have any chance of catching it, you need to do it like this:

• Open the firmware file in Updater.exe and enable the Radio Button next to 'USB Device'
• Ensure device is fully OFF (not in standby)
• Connect a 'known-good' USB cable directly to a REAR USB2 port (not a USB3 or front port or thru' a hub)
• Hold the screen firmly over the 'G' and plug in the device to the cable while watching the GUI
• IMMEDIATELY the device's detail appear in the window adjacent to 'USB Device' on Updater's GUI hit 'OK' or hit the PC's 'Enter' key (be VERY quick)
• Hold the screen until the flash finishes by Updater giving the 'success' message.

thanks Butters, i already try that, but no lucky, then i found solution on gpsurl, over microsd card i flashed firmware, and now i can use unlocked maps

Yes, as i said in Post #2: "It's much easier to use txt commands on a microSD card for modern devices provided they aren't bricked".

ALL Garmin automotive devices can enter preboot mode, you proved that your 2669 can do so by getting 'System' to show on screen. The method I detailed does work, you must do it exactly as written and be very quick or the device will exit preboot. The problem is always down to speed and timing and these modern auto devices are an absolute b*tch to flash with Updater.exe. Flashing BIN files via Update.txt commands is so much easier but more risky than using a safely-named RGN file in Updater. If a mistake is made in the compilation of the SD kit the result may be fatal for the device (say if a wrong Ldr.bin is used, the bootloader and X-loader in regions 5 and 43 likely will be fritzed and that may render the device totally non-recoverable by any software method).
