Hi,
I'm posting this thread to see if you are able to help me regarding a problem someone I know is having (I do not own the device).
It's a Garmin Navtune 7199
Here is the Official WebSite (Brazil):

As you can see, all info is in Portuguese. It happens this model seems to be manufactured in Taiwan and sold in Brazil. The actual device we are talking about was bought in Argentina (Where I'm right now).
The issue:
If you try to manually enter some address, with "street/number", "intersection" or "City" combinations, it fails to start navigation/directions. The map itself, by the way, a custom map (showing the link and info later), is correctly shown, meaning that while driving, streets and everything is shown correctly. However, if you select a point on the map via the touch screen, it actually DOES navigate correctly, only manually entering and address / intersection fails. He told me it shows something like an error message.
He contacted Garmin Brazil and USA, but it did not help.
He loaded the map copying a file called gmapsupp.img to a folder on a SD card (he says it's not possible to connect it to a PC, it only has a SD card slot.
About the map being loaded:
The map was downloaded from

He said he tried to load the Map both with MapSource / BaseCamp and "directly"
Thanks in advance.
